YTD 49-42-3

I’m on my phone so I’ll keep this short

This game matters to both teams big time.  I do not like Detroit laying this many points in this type of situation.  Some teams are good when it matters, Detroit is not one of them.  Give me the better coach and the team that has been there before.

Baltimore +5.5 & ML +177

YTD 45-39-3

New Orleans @ Seattle

Both teams are terrific while playing on MNF so something has to give tonight.  For me its quit simple, take the home team playing outside in the cold against a banged up dome team that doesn’t like road games.  Saints have covered only ONE outdoor game all season, and are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games.  New Orleans seems to struggle with physical teams.  They should of lost at home to San Francisco 2 weeks ago, and before that they lost to the Jets on the road as they were held to 6 points in the second half.  Meanwhile the Seahawks are 35-16-1 ATS in their last 52 home games, and are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 Monday games.  Between the travel, weather, and crowd noise there is only one side to take in this one.

Seattle -6

YTD 39-36-2

49ers @ Redskins

If you have been looking at my picks all season you know by now that I love home dogs on MNF.  Tonight is not one of them though.  The 49ers when playing on Monday Night Football have covered an amazing 37 of 49 (76%) against the spread.  Since Harbaugh has become the coach he has lost only 10 regular season games, and his opponent the next game coming off those losses has scored more than 13 points only twice.  49ers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games.  6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall, and 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games following a S.U. loss.  49ers have dominated the bad teams all season long, and if they are who I think they are, then they handle the redskins tonight convincingly.

49er’s -6

Carolina -2.5   Public all over Brady.  Patriots are not the same team they used to be.  Panthers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games. Panthers D has been nasty all year and they cause havik tonight against a weak Patriots OL.  Panthers finally got a big signature win last week against the 49ers on the road and look to make it two signature wins in a row.

This looked like a sexy Monday night match-up 7 weeks ago but not so much anymore. I think tonight will be a shoot-out between two teams with lousy defenses and nothing to lose. The NY Giants should break through with their first win but I have more confidence in the over.

PICK : Over 48

NFL : IND vs SD +1

pretty much said what I was thinking before I sat down to write this post, so instead of regurgitating the same thoughts let me give you some interesting trends.

Heads up I don’t make picks from trends…..

Recent Betting Trends:

Underdog is 7-0 ATS in their last 7 meetings.

Colts are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 meetings.

Under is 4-1-1 in the last 6 meetings.

Colts are 8-0 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.

Chargers are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games in October.

Philip Rivers is 4-1 against the colts in his career.

Took a beating yesterday but that’s ok.  Its going to happen every once in a while.  Congrats to ijahred yesterday as his 2 posts were spot on.

Moving on…

San Diego vs Indianapolis   My favorite angle to play.  Dome team traveling east coast to west coast for a night game.  Indy coming off a huge comeback win over Seattle last week, while the Super Chargers got embarrassed (5 turnovers) on Sunday night against their rivals.  San Diego (2-3) needs this game desperately as both the Chiefs and the Broncos remain perfect in the division at 6-0, meanwhile 1st place Indy can afford to drop 1 as they remain at the top of their division at 4-1.  Peyton Manning also returns to Indy next week causing the Colts to look ahead before their bye week.   I am fully confident San Diego will give their best effort tonight in a must win game.
